Job summary

King Machine, LLC is hiring an Assembly Technician for aerospace manufacturing operations. The role involves assembling precision components per blueprints, using hand and power tools, and ensuring quality standards are met. The candidate should have 2+ years of assembly experience, be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to read basic drawings.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of assembly experience.
  • Reliable with good attendance.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally.
  • Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
  • Able to read basic manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble high-quality products according to blueprints and specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Bolt, screw, or rivet components to assemble subassemblies and structures.
  • Drill holes and attach brackets for secure installation.
  • Locate reference points and holes using jigs and measuring tools.
  • Inspect and test installed units for fit, performance and compliance.
  • Position subassemblies in fixtures and align with blueprint lines.
  • Cut, trim, and file parts to achieve proper tolerances.
  • Install bushings using appropriate methods as required.
  • Apply sealants or paint per customer specs with proper safety devices.
  • Utilize shop equipment such as C-squeeze, arbor presses, ground stud puller, cherry pullers, and hand tools.
  • Verify finished work conforms to specifications using standard measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret drawings at a basic level.

Aerospace Machine Shop is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to support our Aerospace manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in Aerospace Assembly.

As an Aerospace Assembler, you'll be an essential part of our production process, responsible for assembling high-quality products with precision and care. Your role will include:

  • Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
  • Drill holes in structure and subassemblies, and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installation or to fasten subassemblies.
  • Locate and mark reference points and holes for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
  • Inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards, using measuring instruments and test equipment.
  • Position and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
  • Cut, trim, and file parts, and verify fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
  • Install bushings using liquid nitrogen or presses as required.
  • Apply sealants or paint per customer specifications using proper safety devices.
  • Uses shop equipment needed to complete operations, such as C-squeeze, arbor presses, ground stud puller, cherry pullers, and shop hand tools.
  • Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools as required.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings at basic level.

Full Time position: Monday - Thursday 6 AM to 4:30 PM Overtime as required
