Job summary

MEPPI's New Advanced Switchgear Facility in New Galilee, PA is hiring Assembly Technician I for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with plans to move to 1st shift when the new site opens. You will build frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers and other orders, following detailed specifications and work orders.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of work experience, plus the ability to read diagrams and operate basic tools safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least two years of work experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to read diagrams and specs and use basic tools safely.
• Willingness to complete safety training and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers and related orders per specifications.
• Perform basic electrical connections based on diagrams and specs.
• Use hand and power tools to build high-quality assemblies following drawings and bills of materials.
• Inspect subassemblies and assemblies for defects and correct issues to ensure quality.
• Learn and discuss our Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
