Job summary

American Woodmark in Hamlet, NC seeks a Lead Person to oversee safety and quality production within a work cell or department. You will supervise up to 30 staff, assign tasks, train workers, and ensure quality control of materials and parts produced.

Qualifications

• Lead supervision of up to 30 staff in a work cell or department.
• Ensure safety and quality production in daily operations.
• Train and assist assembly workers on tasks and processes.
• Communicate safety and quality issues to the supervisor.
• Meet production targets while managing staffing and materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow and adjust machinery, staff and materials as needed.
• Assign staff to work cells; delegate tasks per production plan.
• Inspect materials received and parts produced for quality.
• Provide training and guidance to assembly workers.
• Report safety/quality concerns to the department supervisor.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production requirements and optimize efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
• Deliver strong customer service and uphold company values.
