This position is responsible for reviewing current internal and external quality indicators and ensuring quality of parts provided by suppliers.
Lead special projects as defined by management team, with emphasis on achieving results that positively impact the Quality KPIs. Initiate supplier development activities to ensure the quality of supplied parts. Provide support for resolution of production related issues such as non-conforming product, retrofits, etc. Lead problem-solving investigations related to internal and external quality indicators and drive continuous improvement through root cause and short-term / long-term counter measures. Establish process control methods to drive production stability. Lead cross functional teams, coordinate quality inspectors and assist other teams when needed, lead improvement initiatives related to department practices, to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction. Prepare plans and reports for the Quality Department.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field; foreign equivalents accepted. Foreign equivalents accepted.
2 years’ experience in an automotive supplier quality engineering occupation within a manufacturing environment.
Or 4 years experience (no Bachelor’s degree required), in an automotive supplier quality engineering occupation within a manufacturing environment.
Up to 20% domestic travel, and 10% international travel required.
