General Summary
This position is responsible for reviewing current internal and external quality indicators and ensuring the quality of parts provided by suppliers, lead special projects with suppliers to achieve positive results to Quality Key Performance Indicators.
Manage quality and related practices in supplier quality management and new model process development to meet company goals. Monitor and investigate concerns related to internal and external quality indicators and drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis of concerns and develop short-term and long term countermeasures. Communicate internal and external quality concerns to other departments and improve the inspection process of those concerns. Initiate and complete reports tracking Key Performance Indicators as required. Provide feedback on quality concerns to suppliers as well as internally, in order to improve part and vehicle quality levels. Participate in forecasting and forward planning activities for supplier changes, part changes and management of new model launches.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering and Management, or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted.
3 years’ progressive experience (or 5 years with Bachelor’s degree) in a quality assurance role in the automotive industry.
Position requires travel to different suppliers to review process and apply supplier quality audits to their process, travel at least 2 times per month and sometimes need to travel outside the country on average 4 times per year.
