Job summary

EZ Loader Southeast in Port St Lucie, FL is seeking an assembly worker to join the team and build components for boat trailers according to blueprints and customer specifications.

You will operate hand and power tools, inspect parts for quality, and prepare products for shipment while helping maintain a clean, safe work environment. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions to complete assembly of products or components according to guidelines.
• Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly and prepare products for shipment.
• Inspect and test parts during or after assembly according to guidelines and quality standards.
• Maintain the facility by organizing and cleaning trailer yard, warehouse, and related areas.
• Operate tractor and forklift to pull, organize, stage boat trailers and unload/load trailers and pallets.
• Cross train to other departments as needed.

Job DetailsJob Location: EZ Loader Southeast - Port St Lucie, FL 34986Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.00 - $17.00 HourlySummary: Works with other team members to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies, and/or completes kitting, assembly and packaging processes according to established operating procedures and/or customer specifications. This position is responsible for maintaining the facilities inside and outside. The position will ensue that all trailer bets are unloaded and built properly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards
• Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment
• Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
• Maintain the facility by organizing and clean trailer yard, warehouse, building slab, compressor room and any other areas that need attention
• Operate tractor and forklift to pull, organize, stage boat trailers and unload/load trailers and pallets.
• Cross Train to other departments as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment.

Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and comprehend measuring tools such as a tape measure.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications: Must be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as, but not limited to, 5S and set-up reduction. The ability to participate and lead in a team-oriented environment with the willingness to assist and train others. Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant safety goals in a continuous improvement process. Able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends before and after schedule as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
