Job summary

Volt is hiring an Assembly Operator III in Arden, NC 28704. You will polish and test fiber optic cables, assemble connector components, terminate cables, and operate the fiber router and over-molding process.

The role supports prototype and pre-release builds and requires basic measurement and documentation to ensure traceability. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of assembly/manufacturing experience, with preference for fiber optic assembly and SAP/ISO 9001

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year assembly manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic assembly manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to distinguish color-coded fiber optic cables is essential.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components as needed.

• Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other devices.
• Complete operational paperwork to maintain traceability of product.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.
• Understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.

As an Assembly Operator III, you will:

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components (as needed).
• Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
• Operate fiber router & complete over-molding process (as needed).
• Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds (as needed).
• Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
• Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.

This is Full-Time, Contract Opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year assembly manufacturing experience required with knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic assembly manufacturing environment preferred.
• The ability to distinguish between color-coded fiber optic cables is an essential function of this position to ensure accurate assembly, installation, and quality standards.
• SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred.

Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday

Location: Arden, NC 28704

Payrate Range in Between - $20 - $22/hour.
