Job summary

Taylor Defense Products, LLC in Louisville, MS is hiring an Assembly Operator. You will assemble and remanufacture production machines and prototype products, disassemble and retrofit equipment, and interpret schematics and manuals.

The role requires basic computer skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Qualified candidates have 3 years of assembly experience (heavy equipment preferred) and an Auto Mechanics certification or equivalent education.

Qualifications

• Three years of assembly experience; heavy equipment experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Auto mechanics training or certification preferred; substitutes for 1 year of experience possible.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and remanufacture production machines and prototypes.
• Disassemble, assemble, upfit and retrofit equipment systems (mechanical, lift, drive train, hydraulic).
• Follow instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
• Utilize part identification and inventory control systems.
• Perform assembly and repair using powered and hand tools, jigs, fixtures and cranes.
• Use diagnostic instruments such as multimeters.
• Interpret technical manuals.
• Operate heavy equipment to inspect, troubleshoot, and test.
• Maintain records of maintenance performed.
• Adhere to 5S program.
