Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Michigan is seeking an Assembly Operator B for the 6:00am - 2:30pm full-time shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.

You will build small and repetitive assemblies and must work well with co-workers. The role requires reading rulers, completing soldering techniques, and using hand, air and power tools while reading blueprints or work instructions.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. EOE M/F/VET/Disability.

Qualifications

  • Must read a ruler or tape measure.
  • Experience with soldering techniques is preferred.
  • Able to read blueprints, process sheets or other work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and follow department rules.
  • Some basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct parts are used for assemblies per work instructions.
  • Complete schedules efficiently and on time.
  • Stop production and take corrective action as needed.
  • Test selective assemblies prior to next operation.

Assembly Operator B

Schedule:

Full Time: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday and overtime as required

Position Summary:

The Assembly Operator B will be required to build small and/or repetitive assemblies in the department. This person must have good work habits and get along with co-workers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Make sure they have the correct parts for the assemblies they build, as specified on the work instructions
  • Complete schedule assemblies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Stop production, take corrective action or involve the appropriate people to correct any conditions found to contribute to poor quality
  • Perform testing of selective assemblies prior to next operation
Position Requirements:
  • Able to read a ruler and/or tape measure
  • Successfully complete the soldering techniques course and department skills training
  • Have the ability to use hand, air and power tools
  • Able to work from blueprints, process sheets or other work instructions
  • Able to work independently
  • Comply with all department and company rules
  • Some basic computer skills
Education/Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
