Job summary

QPS is seeking Assembler Operators for a climate-controlled, newly renovated facility in Juneau, WI. This fast-paced, hands-on role requires reading a tape measure, basic math, and strong communication, with a 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.

As an assembler operator, you will assist in MMP-line assembly, perform changeovers, and help train new hires while maintaining clean, organized work areas and following LOTO safety practices.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure.
• Basic math skills for everyday counting and measurement.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Clear communication with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Insert bottom die cuts, pleated inserts, and top die cuts onto pallet-pans on a moving conveyor.
• Perform daily one of the MMP-line assembly positions or inspector boxer position.
• Assist with size-changeovers and keep machine sections clean during changes.
• Make minor machine adjustments to ensure quality filters.
• Monitor and fill die cut holders-feeders and verify media and pleat-count.
• Read production reports and schedules and keep work areas organized.

Position Title: Assembler Operator Wage: $23.00/Hour Shift: 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM (Monday - Thursday) QPS is seeking Assembler Operators and/or Assembly Operator Floaters for a reputable, employee-owned HVAC filter manufacturer located in Juneau, WI. Assembler Operator Responsibilities:

• Insert the bottom die cuts, pleated inserts, and/or top die cuts into pallet-pans as they pass by on a moving conveyor
• Perform daily one of the three MMP-line assembly positions or the inspector boxer position
• Assist other Operators with size-changeovers; help clean the machine sections as the changeovers occur
• Make minor machine adjustments to help produce good quality filters
• Help other Operators monitor and fill the die cut holders-feeders
• Confirm that the inserts delivered to the MMP are of the correct media and pleat-count
• Empty and clean the cold-glue pans at shift's end or as otherwise needed
• Remove hood-jams as needed; help clean/scrape the excess glue from inside of the hood
• Cross-train and become proficient at all 3 MMP assembly line positions
• Perform daily one of the three MMP-line assembly positions or the inspector boxer position
• Read & understand production reports and schedules in the various production departments
• Help keep machines clean and work areas clean & organized
• Help train new-hires for permanent positions
• Be flexible to changes in organizational and departmental procedures
• Be aware of LOCK-OUT/TAG-OUT, recognize LOTO-situations, & understand general LOTO
