Overview
We are seeking motivated Assembly Operators to join our team in Newburyport, MA. This role involves operating microelectronics assembly equipment, performing inspections to industry standards, and ensuring high-quality output in a clean, team-oriented environment.
Base pay range
$20.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Location: Newburyport, MA
Time Schedule: Default 5/40
Total Duration: 365 Days / 52.1 Weeks
Work Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm (1st shift)
Responsibilities
- Operate manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment under supervision.
- Inspect semiconductor die and packages using high- and low-power microscopes to Military and Jedec standards.
- Follow defined specifications, process instructions, and verbal guidance.
- Perform delicate product handling and assembly using precision hand tools.
- Train new team members on equipment operation and assembly processes.
- Maintain a well-organized, audit-ready work environment.
- Use computer-based manufacturing systems for product tracking and data entry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in electronic or semiconductor assembly preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precision inspections.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a stable work history.
Compensation
- Starting Pay: Candidates without Cleanroom or Semiconductor experience: $19.50/hr
- Experienced candidates: Up to $21.50/hr + 20% shift premium (if applicable)
