Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Assembly Operator to assemble flexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications. You will solder and weld connectors to cables per customer requirements and verify dimensions with basic hand tools.

In this role, you read engineering documents, follow instructions, work with engineers to resolve production issues, prep cables for assembly, measure and bend cables to exact specs, and complete required documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience manufacturing cable or cable assemblies preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers.
• Welding or soldering experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math (fractions and decimals).
• Able to use small hand tools and microscopes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows work instructions to produce flexible and semi-rigid cables per customer requirements
• Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues
• Preps cables to prepare for assembly
• Solders or welds connectors to cables
• Measures and bends specialty cables to specific dimensions
• Completes required documentation

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience manufacturing cable or cable assemblies, preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers
• Ability to read, speak and understand English
• Welding or soldering experience, preferred
• Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work with effectively with small hand tools and microscopes
