Job summary

The Assembly Operations Supervisor will lead assembly, inventory, and production to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing of crane systems, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can interpret engineering drawings, and has manufacturing leadership experience or the potential to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
Experience in heavy industrial or custom manufacturing environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly prints, BOMs.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily manufacturing and assembly operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.
Lead and develop production employees through coaching, training, and performance management.
Manage labor utilization and inventory to meet operational budgets and production goals.
Develop, monitor, and present KPIs to leadership.
Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and material availability.
Partner with Engineering to resolve manufacturing and assembly challenges.
Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions to ensure production readiness.
Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and implement process improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
