Job summary

DeSHAZO is seeking an Assembler to join our crane manufacturing team. You will assemble sub-assemblies and finished products, following written and verbal instructions to support production schedules.

Prior experience with mechanical assemblies and testing is preferred, and reading prints, scales, and micrometers is required. You must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work 10–12 hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years relevant manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing.
• Ability to read prints and shop manuals.
• Able to read a tape, scale and micrometer.
• Experience with hand and air tools.

Responsibilities

• Assembles sub-assemblies and finished products per instructions.
• Performs all aspects of assembly work.
• Cleans and prepares units for next operation.
• Safely operates heavy equipment as directed.
• Performs inspection activities.

Shift:

Days (Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday as needed) *Must be able to work 10-12hr shifts

Job Summary:

The Assembler is responsible for assembling crane components to support production schedules.

Job Duties:

• Assembles sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. (Industrial Cranes and Crane sub-assemblies)
• Performs all aspects of assembly work.
• In accordance with company procedures, cleans and prepares units for next operation.
• Safely operates heavy equipment as directed.
• Performs inspection activities.
• Maintains accurate records.
• May be required to operate forklifts.
• Complies with all requirements of Quality Control.
• Ensures compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years relevant work experience
• Requires knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing
• Able to read prints and shop manuals
• Must be able to read a tape, scale and micrometer
• Must be able to perform simple computer entry for time keeping purposes
• Prior experience with hand and air tools

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the work day
• Lift up to 50 pounds with the assistance of overhead crane and/or co-workers
• Twist, reach and bend frequently
• Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine)
• Possess depth perception and peripheral vision
• Possess the ability to hear
• Possess the ability to ascend and descend a ladder

Working Conditions:

• Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions, noise, chemicals, and heavy equipment
