Job summary

Hillenbrand is seeking a hands-on assembler for the United States operations. The role involves assembling and testing mechanical component parts, performing quality control, and troubleshooting issues to ensure product integrity.

You will also gather materials, transport items with forklifts or cranes, and complete production documentation as required. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with mechanical assembly, with added preference for forklift/crane

Qualifications

  • Must have basic problem-solving skills for mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Experience operating forklifts and cranes preferred.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic tools is a plus.
  • Ability to assemble mechanical component parts with care.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test mechanical product component parts.
  • Conduct quality control activities and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Gather materials and parts for assembly of product.
  • Transport product using forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and manual handling.
  • Complete kitting reports and work orders; document activities as required.

Shift 1 (United States of America) Essential Job Functions:
  • Assembles and tests mechanical product component parts.
  • Conducts quality control activities and trouble-shooting as needed.
  • Gathers all materials and parts, including tools, needed for assembly of product.
  • Transports product through use of forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and by hand.
  • Completes kitting reports, work orders and other documentation as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Skill in mechanical and/or electrical problem-solving preferred.
  • Skill in operating various heavy equipment including forklift and crane preferred.
  • Skill in operation of hydraulic and pneumatic tools preferred.
  • Skill in mechanical assembly of component parts preferred.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of organization and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
