Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an Assembly Mechanic for the 3rd shift to assemble unit sections and sub-assemblies in a manufacturing setting.

The role reports to the Assembly Supervisor and involves working independently or in a team, with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The position is long-term and full-time, paying $19.40/hr.

Qualifications

• Ability to read production orders and basic shop drawings.
• Basic shop math skills.
• Ability to measure using a tape measure to 1/16".
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane after training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components into completed unit sections and sub-assemblies.
• Follow work instructions, production orders, and shop drawings to meet quality standards.
• Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Identify and correct mistakes with a positive, continuous improvement mindset.
• Participate in team efforts focused on safety, quality, and process improvement.
• Meet productivity, safety, and quality targets, including maintaining 90% efficiency.
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The Assembly Mechanic works under the supervision of the Assembly Supervisor to assemble unit sections and sub-assemblies according to company standards. This role may work independently or as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. This is a long-term, full-time position that pays $19.40/hr.
