STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking a Fabrication Mechanic – Assembly to join the team. The role centers on fabricating metal tubing, both rigid and flexible, for hydraulic, pneumatic, waste and exhaust installations, including cutting, grinding, forming, deburring and polishing to spec.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 months related experience; reading blueprints is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products.

• Prepares hoses and fittings, uses hand tools, and applies RTV as needed.
• Sets up and operates swager, crimper and deburring equipment.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and process sheets to manufacture tubes.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job description

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Fabrication Mechanic – Assembly to join the team. This position involves fabrication of metal tubing both rigid and flexible for a multitude of operations, by cutting, grinding, forming, de‑burring, cleaning, swaging, and polishing according to specifications, for use in hydraulic fuel, pneumatic, waste and exhaust installations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products.
• Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, salvages parts from assemblies and repairs rigid and/or flexible tube assemblies, fixtures, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.
• Perform various functions by hand and utilizes hand tools to prepare hose for assembly including removing rubber to buff back ends for fittings, connecting fittings to hose, applying RTV, and other assembly preparations.
• Sets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment such as swager or crimper.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, method sheets, process sheets, policies and procedures to manufacture a variety of rigid and flexible metal tubes.
• Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
