Job summary

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Requirement Summary
The Assembly Operator is responsible for accurately assembling the
required number of pieces per hour as determined by management. Proficiency in
using all necessary measuring tools is essential. Additionally, the Operator
must accurately and legibly complete documentation both electronically and in
writing.
This role demands strong communication skills, teamwork, and integrity.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, demonstrate excellent work
habits and a strong work ethic, and consistently follow instructions from
leaders and management.

Essential Functions
Under general direction with periodic supervision or review performs the following:

  1. Sets-up and runs hand assembly machines.
  2. Identifies, and assembles parts correctly.
  3. Identifies containers correctly per the bill of material and places all products in the correct container for lot traceability.
  4. Clocks in and out correctly in company time tracking system.
  5. Logs work orders into company labor collection system in a timely manner, and correctly.
  6. Completes job operations in company labor collection system correctly and accurately.
  7. Must be able to collaborate well with other team members.
  8. Must be able to take direction and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  9. Must become proficient in quality discrepancy identification.
  10. Operator must become proficient in all manual assembly processes as required by the company.
  11. Operator must learn and identify different product families.
  12. Operator must be able to assemble correctly all product families and assemble at required rate.
  13. Operator must be able to identify each component on all assembled part families.
    The Assembly Operator plays a vital role in the manufacturing process,
    requiring a self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of components
    and their functions. Operators will utilize various tools, including measuring
    instruments, to perform daily tasks efficiently. This position may require
    lifting up to thirty - five (35) pounds and working in a fast-paced, loud
    manufacturing environment. Depending on the season, temperatures inside the
    factory may range from extremely hot to very cold.
    Operators must always wear proper personal protective equipment while
    inside the facility. They are responsible for accurately completing
    documentation and reading and understanding qualification sheets. Additionally,
    they must be able to identify conforming and non-conforming parts.
    A high level of integrity is essential, as Assembly Operators manufacture
    critical components for the Aerospace industry. Therefore, all company rules
    and regulations set by management must be strictly followed at all times.
Qualifications

Education: Must be able to lift up to thirty - five (35) pounds. Prior manufacturing
experience is required, preferably in light fabrication and part assembly. Must
be capable of setting up assembly stations and operating all manual assembly
equipment or equivalent machinery. Strong verbal and written communication
skills in English are required.

Supervisor Responsibility:

This position does not manage department employees.

EXPERIENCE:

Position type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work may vary depending on operational needs.

Compensation:

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $19.56 to $24.36/hour

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
