Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an Assembly/Machine Builder in Waterloo, Iowa. You will build customized machines from start to finish, following drawings and verbal instructions, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and attention to detail.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of manufacturing or mechanical experience, along with the ability to read blueprints and handle 50–75 lb lifts.

Qualifications

• Move, lift, and position components up to 75 lb repeatedly.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.

Job Title: Assembly/Machine Builder

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Salary: $24-29/hour

Job Summary of the Assembly/Machine Builder

The Assembly/Machine Builder will be responsible for building custom, made-to-order machines per drawing specifications. Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with experience in building or mechanical repair of industrial/heavy equipment. Be able to work from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions. A strong attention to detail is required. To be safe in all operations of the job. To keep the work area clean and organized. This is a low-volume work environment where you will build a machine from start to finish. This is a first shift position, and pay is commensurate with experience. Subject to a drug screening and background check.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Assembly/Machine Builder:

• Must have a High School Degree
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or mechanical work experience.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Any experience working on cars or any type of mechanic background is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• An understanding of hydraulic components and functionality.
• A basic understanding of 12V wiring.
• Ability to use wrenches, air tools, overhead cranes, steel handling and frequent lifting required.
• Forklift experience or ability to train on operation of.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand / or be on your feet all day.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
