Job summary

Power Technique North America LLC in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Line Lead to support daily production on a designated line. You will promote safety, quality, productivity and team engagement while guiding employees and assisting with training.

The role requires 5–6 years in manufacturing or assembly, strong communication, and basic troubleshooting skills. You will work on-site in a modern facility with 5S practices and CI activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to promote safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Support daily production activities to meet schedules with FTR assembly while hitting quality, delivery and efficiency targets.
  • Assist with startup meetings and communicate priorities, safety topics and expectations.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new employees with work instructions and safety requirements.
  • Monitor line performance and report concerns to the Production Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Material Handlers to ensure material availability and smooth flow.
  • Assist operators with basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety requirements and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe workspace through 5S and organization.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and CI activities to improve safety, quality and productivity.
  • Maintain training records, work instructions and production docs as required.
  • Support cross-training to increase workforce flexibility and skills.

Your role

Line Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operation of an assigned production line by promoting safety, quality, productivity, and team engagement. This role provides day-to-day guidance to production employees, assists with training, supports material flow, and helps achieve production targets while serving as a communication link between employees and leadership.

Duties /Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and promote a culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support daily production activities to meet schedules through First Time Right (FTR) assembly while achieving quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
  • Assist with daily startup meetings and communicate production priorities, safety topics, and operational expectations.
  • Support training and onboarding of new employees, including work instructions, safety requirements, and standard work practices.
  • Monitor line performance and communicate production, quality, material, or staffing concerns to the Production Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Material Handlers/Line Feeders to ensure material availability and support uninterrupted production flow.
  • Assist operators with basic troubleshooting and escalating issues requiring additional support.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.
  • Support maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe work environment through 5S activities and workplace organization.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and material flow.
  • Assist in maintaining training records, work instructions, and production documentation as required.
  • Support cross-training activities to increase workforce flexibility and skill development.
  • Promote effective communication between production employees and leadership.
  • Perform assembly and production tasks as required to support operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly and production tasks.
  • Must be able to safely work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.
