Job summary

Exmark, located in Beatrice, Nebraska, is seeking team members to support production operations. The role involves estimating, inspecting materials, reading blueprints, enforcing safety, and training new workers on standard work.

You will help meet production quotas while maintaining quality and a clean 5S environment. Typical hours are 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, with pay ranging from $18.18 to $23.82 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor's discretion).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, work orders, and manuals.
• Ability to complete paperwork and communicate effectively.
• Must possess good communication skills and basic math proficiency.

Responsibilities

Pay: $18.18 - $23.82

What Will You Do?

• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials to meet production goals.


• Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.


• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations.


• Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to subordinates, and assigns duties.


• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.


• Check inventory to ascertain that all necessary parts and quantities are available and if necessary, confer with purchasing department.


• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure improved production methods, tools and equipment maintenance and inventory, and quality of product.


• Meet production quotas and maintain quality standards.


• Responsible for training new employees.


• Thorough knowledge of activities of workers supervised.


• Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.


• Responsible for 3 Tier meetings with employees.


• Follow written standard work and be able to develop standard work and maintain.


• Responsible for updating production boards, hourly.


• Assist in driving the job rotation program.


• May provide input on performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints and resolving problems for employees in group.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need?

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor's discretion).


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders and procedure manuals.


• Ability to complete paperwork and correspondence.


• Must possess good communication skills.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.


• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
