Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a 1st shift Assembly Lead in Fall River. You will assist the Assembly Supervisor, oversee assembly line activities, and mentor assemblers to ensure quality and efficiency.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential; forklift experience and Lean manufacturing exposure are valued. We offer competitive pay, paid holidays and vacation, an air-conditioned facility, and a $1000 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and self-motivation with ability to multi-task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
• Previous experience in manufacturing and mechanical assembly is helpful.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing and assisting the work activities of assemblers.
• Prepare work by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Coordinate orders with material handling and Production Control for on-time assembly.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by checking connections for fit and fastening parts.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
• Provide input on schedule to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment and comply with safety rules.
