Advanced Exhaust Solutions is seeking an Assembly Lead for Lakeville, MN, with responsibility for overseeing daily assembly operations, ensuring safety and quality, and guiding the team to meet production goals.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints and work instructions; a safety-first mindset and continuous improvement focus are essential. Occasional travel to Northfield may occur to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, preferred 1 year in a lead or senior assembler role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to motivate, coach, and lead team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, production reporting systems).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily assembly activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Train, coach, and mentor assembly team members on processes, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Review work orders, drawings, and production schedules to plan and assign work effectively.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Communicate production issues, delays, or quality concerns to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ensure tools, fixtures, and materials are available and maintained in good working order.
• Promote and enforce AES safety standards, wearing required PPE, and ensuring compliance among team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly efficiency, waste reduction, and workflow optimization.
• Assist with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and reporting production data as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area consistent with 5S standards.
• Perform assembly work as needed to meet production demands.
