Job summary

ARCH Global Precision in Green Bay, WI, seeks an Assembly Lead to oversee daily production and supervise manufacturing personnel on-site. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with APC policies and quality standards (ISO 13485)
  • Support SOP and safety training initiatives
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency
  • Own cycle counting and annual inventory reconciliation
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify against POs/RAs

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented full time (40 hours) Assembly Leadto oversee daily production activities and lead manufacturing personnel in our assembly operations. This position is responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work to ensure production schedules, quality requirements, and customer deadlines are achieved.

The Assembly Lead will monitor production performance, proactively address workflow issues, and communicate production concerns to management. The successful candidate will lead by example and promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities for manufacturing personnel
  • Monitor production output and workflow to ensure schedules and deadlines are met
  • Allocate resources to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Identify production delays and implement corrective actions, including expediting jobs that have fallen behind schedule
  • Communicate daily with management regarding production status, staffing concerns, equipment issues, and other unforeseen events impacting operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain production flow and resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to direct reports
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and ongoing performance discussions
  • Authorize employee overtime and paid time off (PTO) in accordance with company policies
  • Administer verbal and written disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Ensure employees follow all APC policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Participate in and support Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and safety training initiatives
  • Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, integrity, and a positive attitude
  • Own and manage cycle counting process and annual physical inventory, ensuring accurate inventory records and timely reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Receives and inspects incoming materials, products, supplies and RMA's, verifying that quantities received match purchase orders/Returned Authorization (RAs)

Job Requirements

  • Strong understanding of workflow and inventory management
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop employees
  • Experience conducting employee evaluations and providing performance feedback
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret production reports to assess departmental efficiency and productivity, providing management with progress updates and actionable recommendations to support informed decision-making
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP system
  • Experience in ISO 13485 preferred however not required
  • Required to lift/carry maximum of 50 lbs
  • Required to stand, reach and move about the entire facility
