Job summary

SpecSys is seeking an Assembly Lead in Minnesota to supervise daily assembly operations in our facility. Flexible schedule options include 4/10-hour and 5/8-hour shifts with start-time flexibility.

You will identify efficient assembly sequences, approve time logs, draft performance docs, coordinate with management and purchasing, and ensure QC compliance. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer-ready products.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and assembly prints.
• Willing to follow work orders and sign-off dispatches.
• Able to design and construct assemblies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable communicating with management and HR.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, bend, crawl and be on feet for 8+ hours daily.
• Education/experience mix suitable for the role.

Responsibilities

• Identify assembly sequences to minimize unproductive time.
• Approve employee time in/out and time-off requests.
• Develop performance review documents using HR formats.
• Coordinate orders with management and purchasing for assemblies.
• Ensure QC processes and procedures are adhered to.
• Document workplace injuries and notify HR and QC Director.
• Ensure products are built and tested to customer requirements.
• Coordinate workload with the project manager for ECO changes.
