South Bay Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Lead to supervise the daily assembly line operations in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure products are built to specifications, meet production goals, and maintain safety standards.

You will train and coach team members, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and process safety. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on knowledge of assembly processes in a high-precision shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or lead role.
• Strong understanding of assembly processes and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily assembly activities to meet production schedules.
• Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Train and develop team members on assembly processes and safety procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve assembly efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Position Summary

The Assembly Lead oversees daily assembly line operations, ensuring products are built to quality standards, production goals are met, and team members work efficiently and safely. This role coordinates activities, provides training, troubleshoots production issues, and acts as the primary point of contact between assembly staff and management.

Shift : Day

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Coordination
  • Assign daily tasks to assembly team members based on production schedules.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure targets are met on time.
  • Act as a resource for troubleshooting assembly issues.
• Quality Control
  • Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Enforce quality standards and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Training & Development
  • Train new and existing team members on assembly processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve assembly efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Recommend and implement process changes in coordination with supervisors.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report and address any unsafe conditions or incidents.
