Job summary

Pioneer Circuits is hiring an Assembly Kitting Operator in California to prepare material kits and release to the assembly line. You will review BOMs, log materials in ProCIM, and ensure accuracy and on-time kit delivery.

The role requires reading SOPs, attention to detail, good English communication, and the ability to work overtime as needed. ITAR control applies and healthcare/401(k) benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–3 years of PCB assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read SOPs and manufacturing travelers.
  • Clear English communication and good attendance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Read SOPs and work instructions per the manufacturing traveler.
  • Handle electronic parts following ESD and moisture sensitive procedures.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, lots, and revision numbers against traveler and drawings.
  • Receive bare boards and hardware and log into ProCIM system.
  • Review BOM and traveler for required materials and components.
  • Prepare tote boxes and label kits per SOP; release to production on time.
  • Update status in ProCIM (material issue, work order/lot status, process).
  • Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow safety policies.
  • Provide training when required.

About the Opportunity

The Assembly Kitting Operator receives bare boards and hardware products, prepares tote boxes with materials and components specified on bill of materials (BOM) and manufacturing traveler, and releases to Assembly production line.

What You'll Do:
  • Reads and understands SOPs, work instructions and requirements specified in the manufacturing traveler.
  • Handles all electronic parts following ESD and Moisture Sensitive procedure
  • Reviews bare board travelers; verifies final inspection operation has been stamped off; verifies part number, quantity, lot number and revision number with traveler and drawing
  • Receives bare boards and hardware and logs into ProCIM system
  • Reviews BOM and assembly traveler for required bare board, materials and components
  • Establishes a lot release size for each job and prepares tote boxes; ensures the kit tote boxes are properly labeled as specified on the SOP
  • Ensures to issue kit totes to production line on-time per the prioritized production schedule report
  • Ensures to update all status in ProCIM system (issue material, work order/lot status and process)
  • Participates in inventory audits for inventory accuracy and periodic cycle counts
  • Follows all company safety policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Maintains an organized, safe and efficient work area
  • Provides training or cross-training when required
  • Performs all other job tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in rigid, flex and rigid flex printed circuit and assembly industry preferred

Please note that in addition to prolonged sitting, the work environment requires repetitive hand motion such as handling, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity.

Schedule:
  • 1st Shift available (7:30am - 4:00pm)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime and Weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time

California Pay Range

$18—$19 USD

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
