Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. through Apogee Architectural Metals seeks an Assembly I to operate and maintain stations assembling parts per specifications in a manufacturing setting.

You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and follow work instructions while ensuring quality and safety. This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and consistent performance on the assembly line.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble units using hand and power tools and equipment.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in repetitive tasks.
• Cross-train and support all Assembly I roles.

Job Overview

Assembly I operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently. Must be cross‑trained and able to support all Assembly I roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).


• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).


• Ability to follow blueprints.


• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.


• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
