Apogee Architectural Metals in Stratford, CT seeks an Assembly I associate to operate and maintain assembly stations for fabricating parts per specifications. You will follow established procedures, use hand and power tools, align components, and ensure quality through testing and calibration.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, can read blueprints, and are comfortable with basic data entry and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts per specifications.
• Test and calibrate parts to ensure tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
• Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Cross-train and support all Assembly I roles.

Job Overview

Assembly I operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Assembly I roles.
