Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Hartselle, AL, is hiring for an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products to customer specifications.

You will set up the work area, fit parts, operate hand tools, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. No heavy experience required though 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is suggested but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and, if required, covers/labels/bands components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
