Job summary

OPmobility SE seeks a senior Manufacturing Assembly Engineering leader to drive safety culture, lead the assembly engineering team, and ensure readiness for projects. You will coordinate cross‑functional activities, validate equipment, and optimize processes with a focus on cost efficiency and adherence to standards.

The role requires strong leadership, a mechanical/electrical/automation background, and experience with POMS, OPTIMAP, OPTIPRO, and KEOPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical or automation, with relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of HSE/ergonomics and safety culture.
• Experience in leading a manufacturing engineering or assembly team (tier 1 supplier).
• 3+ years in senior/lead roles such as PPA, MPM, or plant assembly management.

Responsibilities

• Promote and drive a strong safety culture across the organization.
• Lead and manage the Manufacturing Assembly Engineering team.
• Develop and enhance individual and team competencies.
• Support all project-related activities including AVP, OPTIMAP, OPTIPRO.
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures and standards (POMS, OPTIMAP, OPTIPRO, KEOPS, HSE pillars).
• Coordinate operational support for complex technical challenges.
• Ensure 100% machine validation prior to transfer and plant sign-off.
• Manage assembly equipment investments within ERP objectives.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness aligns with division goals and project timelines.
• Lead benchmarking to identify improvements in assembly technologies and processes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities related to D&D activities and capital investments.
