Job summary

Munters Corporation is looking for a cell lead who will assemble sheet metal parts from BOM and drawings, using hand and power tools. You will lead morning Tier Meetings with direct reports, maintain production tier boards, and ensure orders align with schedules and ship dates.

You will receive components, supervise flow lane staff, document in-process checks, and uphold safety standards. The role requires initiative, teamwork, and a commitment to quality in a dynamic production environment.

Job description

Compensation Range: $ 21.41 plus $ 1.00 SUMMARY Working cell leader who, in addition to helping build equipment, is also responsible for assisting supervisor with daily work assignment and directing employees. Additional work area assignments may apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work from bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, prints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble sheet metal parts and components using various hand and power tools as needed.
• Lead morning Tier Meetings with their direct reports in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Update Production Tier Boards and provide updates to the team members at our daily Tier Meetings.
• Receive and sign for purchase components and materials needed to build specific work orders in specific production areas.
• Ensure scheduled orders are built per the production schedule to meet scheduled ship dates.
• Direct and assist flow lane employees with daily work assignments.
• Ensure daily labor is entered and in-process check sheets are completed as required.
• Responsible for safety awareness and enforcement of safety practices (including the use of PPE).
• Assist supervisor with skills and knowledge development of existing and new employees.
• Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
• Maintain safe, and organized work area.
• Notify supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.

OTHER DUTIES

• Perform or assist with any operations throughout the factory, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to assist with training new employees, integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Blueprint and schematic reading, use of measuring devices and good mechanical and electrical aptitude, use of hand and power tools.
• Minimum 2 years with Munters working in assembly.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Munters Corp Orientation, Quality and Safety Assurance Awareness, Electrical.

HOURS OF WORK: Standard work schedules plus overtime and weekend hours will be required to meet production needs.
