Job summary

Munters is hiring for an electrical assembler in the Virginia area. You will perform wiring, panel assembly, and component installation for standard HVAC equipment, following schematics and BOMs. The role requires installing sensors and controllers, routing cables, and ensuring electrical functionality.

You will maintain a clean, safe work environment, participate in quality checks, and contribute to continuous improvement in the assembly process.

Qualifications

• Work from production schedules, BOMs, drawings, diagrams, schematics, ECN, and work instructions.
• Identify, validate and inspect components to meet electrical specifications and job requirements.
• Install wiring harnesses, drill holes, bend and install conduits, and connect wiring to components and panels.
• Inspect wiring for proper operation and maintain neat, safe enclosures.
• Complete QA inspection and in-process paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Work in electrical panel shop to build electrical panels and enclosures as needed.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and adhere to safety rules.
• Assist with production workflow to meet schedules and quality requirements.

Scope:

Performs various functions within the electrical department in accordance with electrical schematics and diagrams for standard HVAC equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Work from production schedules, bills of material (BOM), drawings, diagrams, schematics, Engineering Change Notifications (ECN), and work instructions.
• Identify, validate and inspect components, subassemblies, and purchased parts required to meet electrical specifications and job requirements of standard HVAC units and assist with component validation on custom units as required. Notify supervisor or cell leader of any material discrepancies.
• Make and install pre-assembled wiring harness when possible, drill holes, bend and install conduit (liquid-tite, EMT and rigid) as required. Pull to electrical components in unit and to electrical panels. Connect / terminate wiring to motors, power supplies, blowers, electrical panels and other accessories. Install sub-assemblies to electrical enclosures. Install defined sensors and controllers.
• Install required labels for electrical components. Upon completion of wiring process, check to ensure proper electrical operation of the HVAC unit. Clean unit and work area.
• Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
• Maintain safe, and organized work area. Notify supervisor, cell leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.

Other Duties:

• Work in electrical panel shop to build electrical panels and accessory enclosures and panels as needed.
• Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Tools and Equipment:

Use gauges, hand tools, hand power tools, and crane.

Minimum Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):

• Safety Glasses - ANSI Z87.1
• Gloves - ANSI Cut 3 4544
• Foot Protection, Steel Toe - ASTM F2413-11

Physical Demand:

• Occasionally move up to 75 lbs. .

Hours of Work Required:
