Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a contract Assembly/Build Technician 2 in the Newbury Park area. You will support engineering activities in assembling prototype semiconductor devices, including semiconductor parts and prototype systems, using a range of assembly equipment.

The role requires hands-on assembly, fidelity to ESD safety, and the ability to work with various tools and microscopes. Day-to-day work includes collaboration with engineering teams and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in assembly/technician roles.
• Ability to perform manual soldering under microscope with small components.
• Familiarity with semiconductor assembly tools such as SMT, Die attach, Wire Bond, Mold, Laser mark, singulation, strip grinder and sputter machines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype semiconductor parts using equipment like SMT machines, reflow ovens, dicing tools, die attach, wire bond, mold and sputter systems.
• Participate in daily meetings and information exchange.
• Ensure adherence to ESD protocols and safety/compliance standards.

Job Description

This is a Contract Position As an Assembly Build Technician, you will be responsible to support engineering activities in the assembly of prototype semiconductor devices which include fabrication, modification and assembly of protytype systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Daily activities includebuilding prototype semiconductor parts using assembly equipment/tools such as SMT machine, reflow oven, dicing equipment, Die attach, wire bond, mold, laser marking, strip grinder and sputtering machines.
• Must be able to participate in daily updates and exchange of information during meetings
• Ensure ESD protocols are met and monitor compliance.

Required Experience and Skills

• An Associate degree or equivalent years of experience and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform manual soldering techniques under microscope with small components.
• Working knowledge on any of the different semiconductor assembly tools such as: SMT, Die attach, Wire Bond, Mold, Laser mark, singulation, strip grinder and Sputter machines
• Excellent comunication skills, ability to follow verbal and written communication
• Must be able to use computer and working knowledge on MS office applications

Desired Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of different electronic components.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
• Experience in manual soldering techiques of microscopic parts is an added advantage.
