Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc is seeking an Assembly Specialist to join the Defense and Space division in Milpitas. The role focuses on producing high-performance components for aerospace, defense, and high-reliability markets.

You will collaborate across departments to address assembly issues and implement corrective actions in a quality-centered environment. The schedule is Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing small components under a microscope.
• Basic computer proficiency (Windows environment and Microsoft Office preferred).
• Ability to work under a microscope for long durations.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and basic clean room experience.
• Ability to monitor and evaluate own performance.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD visual inspection standards preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret work-related documentation.
• Must demonstrate a team-focused attitude, accountability, and ownership.
• Experience using small hand tools (e.g., tweezers).
• Highly motivated, hands-on, cooperative, and consistently positive attitude required.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Looking for a collaborative Assembly Specialist with a positive mindset to become part of the Defense and Space division at Skyworks. The Assembly Specialist plays an essential role in producing high-performance, high-quality products for customers in aerospace, defense, medical, extreme industrial, and other high-reliability markets and applications. This role requires someone who can communicate and work across departments regarding assembly problems and corrective actions, while being a self-driven team contributor with a strong commitment to succeeding in a quality-centered assembly operations setting.

Shift

Day, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to assemble semiconductors under a microscope using liquid dispensing systems, die attach, wire bond, seal, and marking equipment
• Prepare production materials for use (for example staging, measuring, mixing, and related tasks)
• Carry out visual inspections before, during, and after the assembly process
• Examine and complete lot travelers to ensure proper documentation of the assembly process

Required Experience and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing small components under a microscope
• Basic computer proficiency (Windows environment and Microsoft Office preferred)
• Ability to work under a microscope for long durations
• Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and basic clean room experience

• The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$23.65 -$42.88 per hour.
• Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
