Job summary

NCW in Waukesha, WI is seeking an Assembly Associate to assemble and test engines, sub-assemblies and kits following documented procedures. You will work to meet quality, safety and production goals in a hands-on role with tooling and overhead crane operation.

The position emphasizes following engineering instructions, solving problems, maintaining a clean work area, and possible cross-functional tasks. A high school diploma and 2 years of mechanical assembly experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Physically able to lift and handle 35 lbs.
• Basic Computer Knowledge.
• Good verbal and written skills to communicate with Leadership.
• 2 Years of Mechanical Assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and follows plant safety requirements.
• Assembles product according to instructions and drawings to meet quality.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Performs assembly functions with hand/power tools.
• Works to meet plant delivery and productivity goals.
• Operates overhead crane.
• Cleans and paints parts using wash tank and paint booth.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Works independently and contributes improvements.
• Completes inventory and job transactions in MRP system.
• Keeps information confidential.
• Acts on process improvements and supports cross-functional tasks.

Position Summary:

The Assembly Associate is responsible for the assembly and testing of engines, sub-assemblies and kits using documented procedures and policies at our manufacturing facility in Waukesha.

Typical Duties/Essential Job Functions:

• Learns and follows plant safety requirements
• Assembles product according to engineering assembly instructions and drawings to meet Quality requirements
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
• Perform all assembly-related functions as required with hand and/or power tools
• Works in a manner that meets plant delivery and productivity goals
• Ability to operate overhead crane
• Clean and Paint parts as required using Wash Tank and Paint Booth equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ability to work independently and recognize opportunities to contribute
• Complete inventory and job transactions in Company MRP System
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Actively challenge existing processes to drive simplification and improvement
• Support the organization by performing cross-functional ad hoc assignments as requested
