Assembly and Spot Welder Associate for B & W

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. The candidate should have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various systems. This role requires hands-on experience with power tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Key Responsibilities

• Operate single and dual tip pedal activated spot welders / resistance welding equipment
• Assemble and inspect components according to customer prints and specifications
• Use power tools and hand tools for fabrication and modification of parts
• Weld and solder components to create finished products
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards through detailed inspections
• Perform light assembly and some spot welding tasks
• Conduct basic quality and testing checks
• Store raw materials properly in the warehouse
• Pack goods for shipment
• Maintain work areas and equipment
• Set up and operate Fanuc MIG welders
• Support production and perform maintenance, including repairing failed robot welds

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Body in White joining assembly
• Experience with resistance spot welding (RSW), projection welding (PW), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and self-piercing rivets (SPR)
• Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for fabrication
• Previous experience in assembly or related fields preferred
