Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. The candidate should have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various systems. Hands-on experience with power tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics, is essential. Responsibilities

• Operate single and dual tip pedal-activated spot welders / resistance welding equipment.
• Assemble components and parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with body and white components and automotive prototypes.
• Use power tools and hand tools to fabricate and modify parts as needed.
• Weld and solder components to create finished products.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform light assembly and some spot welding.
• Carry out basic quality and testing checks.
• Store goods and raw materials properly in the warehouse.
• Pack goods for shipment.
• Maintain work areas and equipment.
• Set up and program Fanuc MIG welders.
• Support production and perform maintenance; repair failed robot welds with fabrication skills.

Welding and Joining Techniques

• Resistance spot welding (RSW)
• Projection welding (PW)
• Gas metal arc welding (GMAW or MIG)
• Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW or TIG)
• Self piercing rivets (SPR)
• Clinch

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Body in White joining assembler.
• Proficient in all joining applications, including resistance spot welding, projection welding, GMAW, and GTAW, with 2+ years of experience in each.
• 1-2 years of experience with self piercing rivets (SPR).
• Previous experience in assembly or related field preferred.
• Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for fabrication and modification.
