Job summary

ITEC (a MacLean Power Systems Company) in Monroe, NC is hiring an Assembler to join the onsite team. You will assemble transformers, splice leads, and ensure quality while following safety procedures and production goals.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year in manufacturing, with basic computer skills and data entry experience. You will follow BOMs, log time in the ERP system, and maintain clean work areas, inventory, and proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Splice and crimp leads, connecting them to terminal blocks.
• Follow the Bill of Materials to ensure transformers are assembled correctly, using spec sheets from job packets for accurate turns.
• Measure and cut pressboard; learn to use wood-cutting equipment for maple support blocks for the CT.
• Load tank assemblies in and out of the oven and test finished assemblies before oven placement.
• Maintain inventory and ensure tanks, parts, and coils are clean.
• Monitor equipment performance and cleanliness; follow daily procedures.
• Ensure proper cleaning of equipment and work areas daily.
• Maintain documentation and paperwork accurately.
• Read, comprehend, and strictly follow all documented processes and procedures.
• Review drawings and verify safety features on equipment.
• Meet or exceed daily production goals and quality requirements.
• Log time by item and job in the Infor ERP system.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Be available for overtime and maintain good attendance.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role

• High school diploma/GEDrequired.


• A minimum of 1yearexperience in a manufacturing environment isrequired.


• Must have basic computer knowledge, data entry experience, and working knowledge of various equipment and tools.


• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardizedworkand adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.


• Analytical Skills and high-level attention to detail are bothrequired.

• Operate material handling equipment: Including potential use of forklifts or other equipment withappropriate trainingand/or ITEC certification.


• Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment arerequired.
