Assembly Operator Job Description

The Assembler is responsible for performing assembly tasks as part of a production line. This role requires the ability to follow detailed work instructions / specifications to assemble parts and products. The Assembler ensures that all products meet quality and safety standards, contributing to the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Uses schedules provided to determine daily part build requirements.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, and production orders to perform repetitive assembly operations.
  • Modifies, assembles, glues, trims, and sequences components by prescribed methods.
  • Utilize hand tools and simple power equipment, such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, and other similar tools to assemble parts.
  • Inspects components and follows procedures for reporting nonconformance’s to group leader, supervisor, or QA Technician.
  • Package finished products and prepare labels as required.
  • Report defective materials, incomplete operations, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Follow safety guidelines and practices according to company policies.
  • Participate in quality checks and adhere to procedures for non‑conforming parts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork by collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year or more of consistent manufacturing experience and two years of consistent job history.
