Assembly Operator Job Description
The Assembler is responsible for performing assembly tasks as part of a production line. This role requires the ability to follow detailed work instructions / specifications to assemble parts and products. The Assembler ensures that all products meet quality and safety standards, contributing to the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Uses schedules provided to determine daily part build requirements.
- Read and interpret work instructions, and production orders to perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Modifies, assembles, glues, trims, and sequences components by prescribed methods.
- Utilize hand tools and simple power equipment, such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, and other similar tools to assemble parts.
- Inspects components and follows procedures for reporting nonconformance’s to group leader, supervisor, or QA Technician.
- Package finished products and prepare labels as required.
- Report defective materials, incomplete operations, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and practices according to company policies.
- Participate in quality checks and adhere to procedures for non‑conforming parts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork by collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: One year or more of consistent manufacturing experience and two years of consistent job history.

Working Conditions
This position operates within a manufacturing plant environment. The role involves interactions with employees and managers. The job requires repetitive assembly, standing, and ability to lift to 40 pounds.
