Job summary

Donaldson is seeking an Assembler for our Nicholasville, KY location. This 1st shift onsite role runs Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The assembler will collaborate in building Industrial Air Filtration systems, following blueprints and work instructions, and using hand tools to assemble and test equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, basic mechanical skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle materials with forklifts, cranes and carts.
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and problem-solving in a fast-paced shop.
• Quality-conscious with attention to detail and documentation.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather relevant blueprints, build sheets and necessary parts and hardware for assembly.
• Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products.
• Test equipment when necessary.
• Operate Overhead Cranes and lifting devices.
• Handle materials and transport finished products.
• Perform quality inspection and complete paperwork for records.
• Package and crate assembled products for shipment.
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in DPS through continuous improvement and kaizen events.

The Assembler at our Nicholasville, KY location involves working collaboratively to assemble Industrial Air Filtration systems in an innovative team orientated environment. This is a 1st shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Role Responsibilities

• Gather relevant blueprints; build sheets and necessary parts and hardware for assembly
• Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products
• Test equipment when necessary
• Operation of Overhead Cranes and lifting devices
• Material Handling and Transportation of Product
• Perform quality inspection and fill out necessary paperwork for record
• Package and crate assembled products and load for shipment
• Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Active involvement in DPS through continuous improvement and kaizen events
• Successfully complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Material Training (if applicable)

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Display mechanical aptitude and ability to solve complex problems resulting from a highly customized product line
