Job summary

Donaldson Company in Nicholasville, KY is seeking an Assembler to join our on-site manufacturing team, second shift, Monday-Thursday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. You will assemble Industrial Air Filtration systems using blueprints and work instructions, with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will handle materials with forklifts and cranes, perform assembly, testing, packing, and documentation, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative, process-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or prior experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Display mechanical aptitude and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Gather blueprints, build sheets, and necessary parts for assembly.
• Assemble products with hand tools and under work instructions.
• Test equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting devices.
• Handle materials and transport product.
• Perform quality inspections and document records.
• Package and crate assemblies and load for shipment.
• Follow DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies.

The Assembler at our Nicholasville, KY location involves working collaboratively to assemble Industrial Air Filtration systems in an innovative team orientated environment. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Role Responsibilities:

• Gather relevant blueprints; build sheets and necessary parts and hardware for assembly
• Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products
• Test equipment when necessary
• Operation of Overhead Cranes and lifting devices
• Material Handling and Transportation of Product
• Perform quality inspection and fill out necessary paperwork for record
• Package and crate assembled products and load for shipment
• Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Active involvement in DPS through continuous improvement and kaizen events
• Successfully complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Material Training (if applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate ability to:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Display mechanical aptitude and ability to solve complex problems resulting from a highly customized product line
• Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a steady work environment
