Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Assembler to join their team in building dartboard units. The role involves final assembly of electronic boards, wiring, and components, using drills and pneumatic tools with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic boards, wiring, foam, lighting, fasteners, plastic pieces for dartboard units.
  • Use handheld pneumatic drills and screwdrivers with proper technique.
  • Follow build instructions and English blueprints to ensure accuracy.
  • Drill holes using templates for clips, speakers, hinges, rivets, and inserts.
  • Load/unload units from trucks using two-wheel dollies.
  • Work across prep, build, and test areas, typically two weeks per area.
  • Prepare cabinets for subsequent assembly steps with quality and precision.

Job description

Position Title: Assembler

Wage: $17.50 per hour with increase upon hire. Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Assembler Responsibilities
  • Begin training in prebuild, then move onto further training.
  • Final Assembly assembles electronic boards, wiring, foam, lighting, fasteners, plastic pieces, and other components for dartboard units.
  • Use handheld pneumatic (electric) drills and screwdrivers with proper technique, including safe handling of drill bits.
  • Follow detailed build instructions and blueprints in English to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Drill holes using templates to ensure correct placement for clips, speakers, hinges, rivets, and inserts.
  • Load and unload units from trucks using two-wheel dollies.
  • Train and work across three different assembly areas: prep, build, and test, typically spending two weeks in each.
  • Prepare cabinets for subsequent assembly steps, ensuring quality and precision.
Assembler Requirements
  • Must be able to independently, confidently use a drill.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity to handle small parts and precise assembly tasks.
  • Use of fingers and hands, standing for entire shift, bending, twisting, reaching. As well as carrying or moving 25+ lbs regularly, 50 lbs semiregularly, and 100 lbs rarely but as needed.
  • Ability to read English and follow detailed instructions.
  • Physical ability to handle tasks involving repetitive motions and use of tools.
  • Ability to follow the attendance policy.
  • Capable of taking initiative while working independently.
  • Direct previous production assembly experience of 1-2 years.
  • Experience using drills and various pneumatic tools, technical drawings, hand tools.
