Job summary

Johnson Controls in San Antonio, TX is seeking anAssembler to join a fast-paced, safety-focused team building air conditioning units. The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, reading blueprints, and maintaining a clean work area in a production environment.

You will work a weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a base pay around $17.00 per hour plus shift premium. Opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits are highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks in a noisy and dusty setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble air conditioning units using hand and power tools.
• Follow blueprints and engineering drawings to build subassemblies and final products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Inspect parts for defects and report issues.
• Collaborate with your team to meet production goals.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes.
• Use basic computer tools (Excel, Word) to track production and inventory.
• Be flexible with overtime and shift changes as needed.
