Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking a versatile technician in Duluth, MN to assemble and install vehicle components. You will read drawings and instructions, operate equipment in the cell, and move between areas to support production.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety and quality, using basic tools, and training as needed. A HS diploma and basic reading/writing skills are required; competitive pay and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend.
• Basic computer usage knowledge.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools such as tape measures, drills, wrenches, ratchets, etc.
• Properly use and care of Altec provided PPE
• Install aerial device vehicle components and accessories
• Read production drawings and work orders to understand customer requirements
• Learn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell)
• Move to other work areas to support production needs (cross train)
• Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies
• Maintain work area, shop tools, and equipment
• Complete other job duties as assigned: Test installed components, perform rework as required
