Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. in Osceola, IA is seeking an assembler to prepare, assemble and install vehicle and/or chipper components per mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, unit and finish department specifications.

The role requires reading schematics/blueprints, using basic hand tools, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while supporting APS initiatives and cross-training across areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend required.
• Basic computer usage knowledge desired.
• Vocational training in lieu of experience will be considered.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics desired.
• Knowledge in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, or manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics and work orders.
• Install unit vehicle and/or chipper components and accessories.
• Test installed components and ensure quality.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and tools.
• Support production system initiatives and cross-train as needed.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality policies.
