Altec Industries, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an assembler to prepare, assemble and install vehicle and chipper components across Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical departments.

You will read schematics, blueprints and work orders, use basic hand tools and tape measures, with a first shift of 6am–2:30pm and potential OT. Candidates need a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and write.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend.
• Basic computer usage knowledge required.
• Ability to read tape measures, blue prints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and install vehicle and chipper components.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and work orders.
• Use basic hand tools and tape measures.
• Support multiple departments (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical).
• Train new and current associates as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work area (5S) and follow safety policies.
