Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Texas is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to read electrical and mechanical schematics, assemble panels and distribute components to complete wiring duties. The role requires accuracy with wiring tasks, basic math, and the ability to work from detailed drawings.

Applicants should have at least two years of manufacturing experience and fluency in English. Lifting up to 50 lbs is required, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional overtime as duties demand.

Qualifications

Essential Duties
  • Read, use, and understand electrical/ mechanical schematic drawings.
  • Responsible for producing high-quality electrical products.
  • Fits, files, drills, and assembles junction boxes and panels, or performs a wide variety of diversified and difficult electrical assemblies.
  • Assembles, in a predetermined order, electrical components, terminals, and push buttons.
  • Cuts, strips, and mounts wires to connect electrical units.
  • Closing job orders daily for the assigned value stream.
Qualifications
  • Education: Preferred- High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Experience: Two years of minimum manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math, including the use of calculators.
  • 1 year of electronic assembly skills.
  • Experience with using a computer and or ability to learn basic usage of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience wiring electrical panels, instrumentation, and devices / point-to-point testing.
  • Ability to work from detailed schematics, wire lists, bill of materials, engineering drawings, and documentation.

Position Type, Schedule, and Travel

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:30 pm or 3:30-12:00 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs. (sometimes more, depending on the job) The task repeats 6 -7 times per 8-hour shift.
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods (8 -12 hours) Frequent walking throughout the floor to clean, allocate, receive, pack /unpack materials and parts.
  • Bending, Stooping, and Reaching: Regularly need to bend, twist, kneel, or squat Frequently reaching above the shoulders or below the waist.
  • Manual Dexterity and Hand‑Eye Coordination: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, such as assembling small parts, packing, or sorting Use of small hand tools, requiring fine motor skills.
  • Vision and Hearing: Visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses) to read labels, gauges, blueprints, or assembly instructions.
  • Work Environment: Tolerance for light noise, dust, light, and light soldering smoke Exposure to moving mechanical parts (Must be able to wear PPE – Steel‑toed Shoes, Safety Glasses, protective gloves, and Electrostatic Control Coat).
