Job summary

ABB in Albuquerque, NM is hiring for an entry-level assembler to join our manufacturing team, performing assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products and to support quality testing as part of a defined production process.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and work overtime or weekends as needed. We value clear English communication and basic math skills, with a safety-minded approach in a lean 5S environment.

Qualifications

• Overtime and weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products and assist with packing.
• Use light hand tools as needed.
• Perform regular quality testing as part of the production process.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following procedures.

Job Functions

• Conducts all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Performs work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Performs regular quality testing as a part of a defined production process.
• Operations within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma/GED is required
• Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred
• Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
• Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
• Can work a weekend schedule as needed.
