Douglas Dynamics has openings for Assembler/Packers. The Assembler/Packer is expected to be motivated by goals set for the team, cooperative and willing to work at any task. The positions are available on 1st shift. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. The position is through an employment agency with an opportunity for direct hire.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

The Assembler/Packer will perform a variety of bench and structural assembly, boxing and bagging operations of parts, components, and assemblies for the company’s snowplow and Ice Control products lines and accessories. Assembly may be performed on a paced conveyor or non-paced environment. Sets up and operates machinery and equipment such as assembly and packaging, unloading parts from a powered conveyor, bagging machines, strapper, and assorted power and hand tools. Actively participates in team and total quality commitment activities. Performs designated maintenance functions; assumes ownership for quality of all products. Participates in training and 5-S activities.

  • Meeting production plan and standards (produce to takt)

  • Reporting assembly and packaging problems or unusual workplace events to BU lead or supervisor
  • Use a variety of material handling equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
